Can You Use The New iPad 3 On A Cruise Ship

Laptop computers were always a bit bulky to take on holiday but many people managed with the smaller netbook type of laptop but tablets have changed what people pack in their suitcase tech wise! Tablet computers tend to start in size from about 7 square inches. That is very small and easily small enough to fit in hand luggage. Most of the better quality tablets like the iPad come with an in flight mode that can be turned on when you board an aircraft and so make them an ideal traveling companion on the plane.

So what about iPads and in particular the new iPad 3 can you take that on board the cruise ship? The simple answer is most definitely yes. You will be allowed to take your iPad on all cruises just like you would be allowed to take your mobile phone on board the cruise ship. Once on board with your iPad you will be able to enjoy it to your hearts content and you will be able to play all the games and other apps that you would normally use on it. The fact that you are at sea makes no difference to the use of your new iPad 3, or any of the iPad or other tablet PC models.

What you do have to be careful with though is if you have one of the new 4G versions. If you bought an iPad 3 on contract from a site like this then you have to be careful as the 4g data card will still be active once you are on board the ship unless you turn it off. You can read about using internet on a device abroad to brush up on the subject as it is too detailed to cover in this short post. What you should note is that it can be very expensive and once on the ship you should disable your 4g connection, or 3g if you have an older iPad.

On the cruise stick to connecting the the ship’s wifi service when you want to access the internet. Depending on the cruise ship that you are on they may charge for broadband internet access via their wifi network or it may be complimentary. But make sure you turn of the built in connection on your new iPad 3 or other tablet.

If you think the only way to learn golf is expensive private lessons, you’re missing out on a great benefit of the technology revolution: Golf lessons online. Whether you want to study swing fundamentals or take a refresher course on golf etiquette, you are bound to find an online instruction program to help.

Many sites offer their lessons at little or no charge, while others are more expensive. Some websites offer “teasers,” or free lessons to encourage you to sign up for a more costly program. Before you sign up for a set of lessons, read the fine print so you’ll know what kind of a financial commitment you’re making and if there are any limitations on the program, such as the number of weeks you have to complete it.

Golf lessons online come in many different formats. These include reading materials, such as a batch of articles on a certain subject, and audio-video materials that allow you to watch and listen as the instructor demonstrates a technique properly.

An especially popular online program allows you to take individual lessons from a golf pro. After paying for the instruction, you’ll be told to ask a friend or a family member to use a digital camera with video capabilities to record your play. The golf pro will then look over the recordings and respond with suggestions. This process can last several weeks as you incorporate the suggestions and record additional videos for analysis.
